I would gladly appreciate it if you would click "yes" and say that this guide helped you out. I'm trying to spread the truth behind these scams. Please note that anyone who would claim this isn't helpful makes their money off of scams such as the following.
Hello, based upon prior experience with many mystery boxes, e-books, 1 cent auctions, wholesale lists, tarrot card readings, etc. I've found them all to have 1 thing in common: THEY'RE ALL SCAMS. With all of these items, DO NOT BUY, no matter how high the sellers feedback is, I'll explain at the bottom.
Mystery Boxes: There are tons of these on eBay, just type in Mystery Box, and you get a wide variety of things that pop up from bubble gum to xbox 360 boxes. With my past experience with these, the box is either completely empty, or it has junk in it, like from a garage sale. Once I opened a mystery box, and I got the rubber of a used car tire. They are all scams no matter how high the persons feedback is. Seriously ask yourself this question, "Why would anybody want to give so much stuff, of so much value, out for so cheap?" The answer is THEY WOULDN'T. If you were selling a mystery box, would you really want to lose money on this transaction? NO WAY. Either would the other mystery box sellers. Just don't waste your time with these, they word them so carefully that they can get away with almost anything.
E-Books: First of all, many of you are wondering what an E-Book is in the first place, right? Well an E-Book, is an electronic book, or a word document. Basically anyone can write one of these, even a 1st grader could write one. These are basically a bunch of CRAP. These books can vary on topic depending on the author. All of them are poorly written, and should never be bought no matter what.
1 Cent Auctions: There are two types of these auctions that I've seen, The first one is where its only a Penny. A person would do this to raise up their feedback really high making them seem like a trusted seller on eBay. This is why you can not trust sellers solely based upon their feedback rating, because a person can create a new account and within a week have a feedback rating of 100+. Thats why you should always check to see how long a given person has been a member of eBay, if you see that they have just created an account within the past 3 months, and they have a feedback of 200+, don't be fooled. Another type of this auction may claim that they are only a penny, but where they get you is in the $4.99 handling fee that they charge. So in the end you end up paying $5 for a picture, E-Book, or contact list(wholesale list). The second part is more of a scam, because no one is allowed to charge a handling fee for "information" being sent across the internet.
WholeSale Lists: I myself have always wanted to be an entrepreneur, but have never been creative enough to think of a business idea, so I've always wanted to create my own eBay business. Well after much searching, I haven't found any suppliers that are willing to provide anything for "wholesale cost" to privately owned businesses. By the way, most successful eBay businesses only pull in around $2K-$3K profit a month, now considering most businesses need to spend tens of thousands of dollars on inventory, and to only profit this much is a bad investment. Anyway, remember the saying "If it sounds too good to be true, then it probally is." This statement is absolutely correct. When you see these wholesale list advertisements you just start to dream about the possibilites. They claim that they can get you electronic goods at 50-60% off retail price, well let me give you a secret: Stores sell their products for 50-60% off retail. The suppliers(the names provided on the lists) sell good at the going rate, and it is never at a discount(compared to the stores). They will sometimes give you websites as a supplier. These are usually owned by the seller (of the list), to try to promote his business. As tempting as these lists may be, don't give in, for your only throwing away your money.
Tarrot Card readings: OK I know what you're thinking, your probally thinking "wow this guy is an idiot for buying this crap," well honestly that is absolutely correct. Buying this was so stupid. I could definately think of better ways of throwing away my money. Basically what this is, is you buy either a one time reading, or a given time frame of free readings. I'll explain them both. A one time reading is a huge scam, all they do is make up this terrible answer and then never talk to you ever again. Your better off eating a fortune cookie, atleast then you will get somewhat of a sugar treat. The auctions for a given time frame such as, get two months of unlimited readings, or one year of unlimited readings. Well what happens in these typically is that the scam artist/fortune teller gives you a fake phone number, or just ignores you, and/or cancels their eBay/PayPal accounts. These are so stupid, anyone could make up a fake future event.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Many people care much about their feedback rating, and would do anything to avoid getting a negative feedback left. I was the same way. Thats how I got my only negative feedback on this account. I bought a wholesale list, it was a scam, he gave me a website that didn't exist, and then after much complaining, he sent me another website which had no sign of any certification, meaning it could have been a scam(identity theft). Back on topic now, well I demanded that he would refund my money, and he refused. At the time I had only 1 feedback, and I did'nt want to have a feedback rating of 0 and 50% positive. That would look terrible. Well the scam artist had a high feedback in the 70s at the time. He told me that if I didn't leave him positive feedback, he would leave negative feedback, and it would destroy my rating. I listened to him, and gave him positive feedback, and being the jerk that he was he still left me negative feedback. Note that his eBay account is no longer registered, mainly because he is a scammer and eBay eventually stopped him. The thing is when you are threatened by someone to leave positive feedback or negative feedback will be left is very intimidating.
Don't buy any of these no matter what, your guaranteed to get scammed. If you have any questions feel free to send me any future messages. I will help anybody who is thinking about purchasing any of these items stray away from them. I have been conned too many times on eBay, and I will do all in my power to end this crap. Its shameful that there are so many scammers on eBay, and the fact that eBay allows it is completely mind blowing to me. Help spread the knowledge of this, and help shut down scammers on eBay. Do the right thing, and help make this world a better place.
